Hello Reader, Thank you for reading this blog post. We will be discussing Rheumatoid Arthritis and how our gut health, especially our microbiomes affects our overall health in taking care of our wellness.

Your regulated gastrointestinal system leads to the development of physical and mental ailments that are chronic. Especially the autoimmune system and the disorders it comes with. One of them being rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid Arthritis is swelling of the joints due to inflammation from your blood. This is created by contamination of your blood from your gut. Rheumatoid arthritis is the most common type of arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis and gut health are connected through the bloodstream and the intestines. This makes your gut health very important not just for arthritis but for other brain and heart ailments as well.



Your gut health is very important because the state of your microbiomes helps to determine how well your brain and heart health are as well since our gut sends food and fluids around our bodies. This is done through our intestines. Which is the main focus of arthritis as our blood takes the vitamins and waste from our intestines around our body. Your intestines are connected to your immune system and your microbiome health helps to determine how much inflammation you have. Which affects the development of various diseases mainly rheumatoid arthritis being one of them as the inflammation is carried over to your blood and heart. Which therefore affects your joints. “ Your gut microbiome depends on what you eat. The amount of fiber being a big factor” foods with lots of dietary fibers are prebiotics. “Because they feed good bacteria into your microbiome”. Probiotics have healthy microbes in them. They change your microbiome. Changing your microbiome helps with your arthritis but more information is needed. No probiotic proven for RA. Probiotics help people to feel better but not improve the RA. Check with your doctor if you have a weakened immune system or some other serious condition.


Chronic illnesses lead to people having a reduced life expectancy than others. Blood tests help doctors to identify how inflammation is affecting you. Chronic inflammation stresses your heart and blood vessels over time. Some food Treatments for Arthritis are:

Omega 3 fatty acids

Wild caught salmon

Foods high in sulfur ( onions, garlic, asparagus)

Bone broth

Flax, chia, walnuts

Stay away from excess sugar and inflammatory oils

Goal is to prevent joint inflammation

1000mg fish oil

Turmeric

Probelenic enzymes


Juicing fruits and vegetables for gut health

Yoga for flexibility of joints and gut health

Essential oil massage on pressure points as well as ingestible essential oils

Leaky gut in our intestines lead to bad bacteria being spread out our bodies. A diet in anti-inflammatory foods can help reduce inflammation in anxiety. Regular low physical activity to keep joints strong helps. Prebiotics and probiotics to help balance out microbial diversity. Look at herbs to help with leaky gut to help seal intestinal lining.

Bone broth and its impact on arthritis and the gut lining to help with autoimmune diseases. Bone broth is an amino acid mix of bones boiled down. Helps people feel better in their joints. Fermented kemchi. Bone broth should be animal fat and animal protein. 3 to 1. Can cook with vegetables. Can’t do bone broth while fasting.


Does fasting help with gut health?

  • Intermittent fasting, brain health, and heart health. Inflammation is the key driver of chronic illnesses. The goal is to reduce inflammation for every chronic illness.

  • Intermittent fasting isn’t good for women because it stops their period. It helps men out though. Intermittent Fasting helps with gut health for men as it helps reduce calories and cravings.
